Daytime temperatures around freezing -
night time temperatures around minus 10 degrees ... you would have to be mad to
choose to go camping in these conditions. Well we are mad!
There was snow on the
ground and floating down from the sky. The only heat came from the
camp fire. We cooked on this fire ... we had too: it was so cold the
gas cooker wouldn't have worked anyway!
We were camping at
Gradbach Scout Camp Site in the Peak District. During the day we
went on an icy hike with some amazing views.
