On Sunday July 2nd Scouts
from 1st Adderbury reinforced their position as North Oxfordshires best Scout
footballers by reclaiming the Districts Outdoor Football Competition trophy for a
fifth consecutive year.
1st Adderburys A team romped home to the winners medals
remaining undefeated all afternoon.
In a further show of the Troops footballing abilities the
Troops B and C teams took up a further two places in the competitions top
four.
The six-hour event took place at the Kingsfield Playing Field in
Bodicote and featured a separate Cub and Scout competition. The afternoon produced some
nail biting football, cheered on by supportive parents. |

The
ten-minute matches took place on three separate pitches.
Scout Leader Andy Green said, "At Adderbury our teams were really focused on
bringing home these trophies once again and they played like winners."
"We are not solely a football club, as we give youngsters loads of other life
experiences, but many football clubs would love to have some of our players on
board!"
