Walking 50 kilometres is no mean feat. It
takes real grit and determination to fight against aching muscles and physical
exhaustion. On top of that you have to use a map to navigate a complicated
route.
However, at 1st
Adderbury we are celebrating after
completing the 50km Hike Oxon route faster than any
other Scouts in Oxfordshire.

The 50 kilometre route
used footpaths and bridleways around a circular route that started in
Wallingford and passed through villages like Dorchester-on-Thames, Hagbourne,
Blewbury and Cholsey and took in sections of the Ridgeway. Each team had to pass
through a series of checkpoints to ensure they followed the correct route.
