1st Adderbury Scout Troop, Banbury, Oxfordshire, UK

2002 saw the start of a difficult two year period for the Troop. The foot and mouth crisis (which had started in 2001) had severely affected the Troop's programme. In addition with the leaders having less spare time due to changing jobs, the programme seemed a little sparse in comparison to previous year.

Troop numbers fell from their highs, and when the Swift Patrol Leader left it was decided to move its remaining members to other patrols and disband the Swifts. The Swift Patrol ran from 1990 to 2002.

Summer Camp 2002 in North Yorkshire

Four new PLs joined Adam Source (Swifts) at the start of 2002. Adam Maltby took over in Tigers, Andy Norton in Kestrels, Nick Pratt in Merlins and Ryan McCrickerd in Otters.

Adam Source left in the spring and the Swift patrol was disbanded.

After a year's delay due to foot and mouth we finally made it to North Yorkshire for Summer Camp 2002...
