1st Adderbury Scout Troop, Banbury, Oxfordshire, UK

Welcome to 1993 - the year of Take Action. 1st Adderbury's very own version of Take That, the live performance and legendary video are still talked about today.

1993 was also the year the PLs went narrowboating for the first time and tried a number of new activities.

As part of their Pathfinder Award these Scouts organised their own camp during May.

Throughout 1993 Troop numbers remained just under 40.

The year started with PLs Jon Miller and Robbie Easterbrook leaving the Troop. Martin Cooper took over in Merlins and James Leaver in Tigers. They joined Paul Churchill (Kestrels), Jeremy Willsher (Otters) and Richard Baker (Swifts).

In the autumn Jeremy and Richard reached the Scout leaving age and were replaced by a scout (Swifts) and Simon Wyatt (Otters).

	The PLs set off on the Troop's first narrowboating trip
	Canoe Camp, heading down the River Avon from Stratford
	Bicester Sub-Aqua club played host to some Older Scouts who wanted to try some diving

Summer Camp featured another set of bizzare characters - a Bakewell Tart, Robin Hood and a bus conductor!

Throughout the 90s the Troop used the tag-line "the action team". Have a look at a summer Action Team programme from 1993 here.
