To celebrate the Troop's 10th birthday in 1989 a special badge was designed and worn on the uniform for the year.

Below, the cake is cut at the 10th birthday party by Ron Marchington (District Commissioner), Ken Baker, Peter Jennens, Andy Green and Brendan Cox.

1989 was the year the Troop celebrated its 10th birthday.   January was a month full of celebration with a Troop meeting held around Banbury - flagbreak was at the cross(!) - and an evening get together to cut the birthday cake and watch a special video celebrating the last 10 years.

Andy Green was now Scout Leader and the PLs for the year were Stuart Keen (Merlins), Jeremy Fennell (Otters), Brian Eeles (Kestrels) and Richard Jackson (Tigers).

1989 was also the year the Troop won the District Indoor Football competition for the first time, and officially became "full up"!
