So many people want to be part of the
action at 1st Adderbury we have to operate a waiting list for new members.
Here's how it works.
Do you live in Adderbury
or Milton?
If you live in Adderbury or Milton you can apply
to join the Troop by filling in all the details below. You
will be contacted when there is a space. You can join any time
after your 10th birthday. To make sure you have a place when
you are ten your parents can add you to our waiting list any time after
your 8th birthday.
Or do you live outside Adderbury or Milton?
If you live outside the village you will
probably find a Scout Troop closer to you than 1st Adderbury.
It's worth have a look at the
North Oxfordshire District website first to see if there is a Scouting
adventure happening closer to you.
Before filling in the form below parents should read this:
Adderbury Scouts is not just a club. Whilst our Scouts have
lots of fun and experiences that provide memories for life, our aim is for any Scout
joining the Troop to gain the Chief Scout's Gold Award. This
highly valued accolade can be used later in life when applying for jobs or a place at university.
We will provide an active programme full of excitement with the aim of
helping young people achieve the Chief Scout's Gold Award. In
return we expect our members to show a high level of commitment to the
Troop; membership of 1st Adderbury should not come second to other clubs,
groups or teams. Scouts are expected to attend every week and
be on time for meetings. In addition we expect parents to support parental activities and to
volunteer to join either the executive committee or a fund raising group at some point during their child's time with us.
