For the 2010 Mountain Expedition a small group of Scouts chose to walk up the Watkins path, which heads from the south-east to the summit of Snowdon.

In was windy at ground level, but as we got higher the winds got much stronger.

By the time we reached the final climb to the summit the winds were up to gale force - in excess of 90 miles per hour.   Everyone helped each other towards the trig point.   It was so windy we had to literally crawl the final few feet!

Made it to the top.
